video presentation was superb. having to view it in a large screen as such in Dewan Budiman is an awesome opportunity. we make it clear that the video wasn’t finish being edit. so ummi gave us the second chance to redo it again.

but, as most of us knew. i had an accident that late evening. after we successfully preview the video to ummi.

i got no broken bones. but i did injured myself badly. had an internal organ injury – spleen and kidney injuries.

but well. now everything seems to get back as normal. being able to recover progressively in a short period of time. and more surprisingly i am able to walk on my own within 2 weeks after the accident.

this time let me talk about our group assignment. the video making. the video is as simple as the title – THE ROUTE. but somehow i’m so happy with the result of the video. from the beginning of the video till the end of it. i think that it was a superb effort my most of my group mate. some did the script, some did research on the video ideas, and some spend time on editing the video. For some awesome reason, i think this video has the most significant meaning to me. to do a video in a busy place is tough. really though. not only we have to bear with external factor such as transport problem, equipment, but also the weather. the shooting was done in the afternoon. n it was super warm that we had to buy a bottle of 500ml of mineral water that cost us RM6 each. hahahahhaa..its expensive ok.

whatever it is.. we had fun making the video. none of us felt unhappy even though it is freaking tiring to work from early morning till late evening. we manage to complete the shooting around 6pm. So here are the list of name with each person’s role.

LECTURE IN MY ROOM. Reason – I did not attend the lecture. hahahhahahahaha!!! The guilt in me grew each time i think back about this class reflection. then i open up ummi’s blog and i searched for this week lecture note. and i found a note about Information Literacy. Basically it is the ability to identify what information is needed, understand how the information is organized, identify the best sources of information for a given need, locate those sources, evaluate the sources critically, and share that information. It is the knowledge of commonly used research techniques.

So peeps..keep reading your lecture note!!! hahahahhahaahaha…there’s a lot of things need to be read for this coming final.

Video Video Video. The most interesting topic of all. No one could have imagine what has videography done to me. I grew up with a bunch of passionate people whom have taught me a lot on video making since i was in secondary school. I grew with them to produce a few short video and one of the most well known video was The Past which we submitted in for KML 60′s video challenge. Another video which until now that I’m so proud of is the advertisement video about water product that I made for my class’s imaginery company. yeah..that’s how my interest in videography begins. It all started with an interest in playing around with video camera then it grew in producing cool video.

Now i’m attending this educational technology class that offers video making as one of the subject, so it really pleases me to be in the class. Not only this class taught me about characteristic of video, benefits and limitations of it. It also taught me about video utility, camera movement and others. that is an awesome part of being in a real class that taught videography as a subject.

Sincerely, I LOVE TODAY’S CLASS! hahahahaha..It is simply because Major Jasmy taught us photography in more details during the lecture. He showed us how to take good pictures, handle different camera under different condition. Other than that, he also emphasize more on the camera lens. He showed a few picture that was captured using different lenses. And the result…each of those gave different effect on the photo. That is how Awesome camera lenses could do on s single lens reflector camera.

Major’s way of teaching photography reminded me of my former lecturer back in matriculation. He impresses every single one of us through pictures. Then he shares his thought and rationals behind every abstract element on the photo taken. yah, that’s why i find that this is the AWESOME class ever hahahahhaahaha..

Wait wait. Hold on. This is good news for me. It is my first time having lecture in Dewan Budiman and the lecture is handled by Major Jasmy. I can’t elaborate more on how awesome i feel throughout the lecture, sitting on the far corner of the hall with the freezing cold air blowing straight to me. Fuh, that makes me want to fall asleep. But but but….thanks to Major Jasmy. He made the class so interesting that none of us doze off. uhu… he showed us quite a number of video in between the lecture which made the lecture more intresting.

to make things short, this is what i got out of it:

1) Teaching is about communication : verbal and non-verbal. So there are 6 steps in teaching.

• Find out what the students needs are.
• Goals and objectives
• Evaluation procedure
• Design a way to deliver the strategy
• Teaching system
• Evaluation of that teaching system.

and then Major talked about models of media. There are model ASSURE, ADDIE, ICARE, P.I.E. and etc.. To be honest, i didn’t got much for the lecture itself, since there are a lot of things to memorize. but yeah, nothing to be worried about. I think its normal for a person like me to understand half of the lecture delivered. hehehe..then that’s when the lecture note plays its role. It’s for me to bring back home to read till i fully understand it. hahaha..

Today’s Tech Edu tutorial class was a light one. Not much input as d class before. Ummi decided to emphasize more on the usage of wordpress. Well, as some might notice i have been using wordpress since last semester and this is absolutely giving me an advantage to be more familiar with the features in wordpress.

Talking about the class today, there are 2 important things that Ummi have highlighted on the class earlier.

1. Group Assignment Due Date ( video making) : 5th of March
2. Individual Task ( Teaching Aid) : 26th of February

Whatever it is, i hope that i can complete my assignments on time

Yeah..this is my very first reflection for the subject, Educational Tech. The awesome part of being part of this class is that there are only a few number of us from my badge that are taking this course this semester. Awesome awesome awesome! hahahaha..

Okey, lets get straight forward to the first lecture the other day. We were briefed about the course content / outline and the assignments. The moment Ummi told us tat one of the multimedia assignment is video making. I’d be lying if i told u it didn’t freak me out. I was saying to myself whether can i do a better video compared to the one I made before. Fortunately, i had experience in video making before this and hopefully this would be helpful for my group. After all, nothing to be worry much because we have the largest number of group member with 7 person which consist of, Ku Azrie, Alfian, Redza, Hasif, Joy, Farah and I.

Throughout the lecture, i would say it was a very informative one. There are a lot of quality video that Faizal showed us. One of it is related to friendship. Fuh, the video really amaze me. Not only from the technical side of it, but also from the storyline of the video. Every single scene has its own meaning. And finally, Ummi told us about her blog for this course. She will post any announcement and notes on it.
